Medical Psychologist

Verocell Simotwo is a dedicated Medical Psychologist with a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Psychology from Moi University. Since 2022, he has been integral to Palm Tree House Wellness Center, conducting mental health and substance use assessments, administering psychotropic medications, and leading individual, group, and family therapy sessions. His expertise spans dual diagnosis, psychoeducation, and 12-step facilitation, ensuring tailored interventions for clients.

Prior to joining Palm Tree, Verocell honed his clinical skills at Nueva Esperanza Treatment & Rehabilitation Center, managing admissions, treatment plans, and referrals. His earlier roles included psychiatric assessments at Bungoma County Referral Hospital, volunteer work at MTRH’s mental health unit, and research collaboration with Duke University on family therapy programs. Proficient in CBT, motivational interviewing, and crisis intervention, he combines pharmacological and psychotherapeutic approaches for holistic care.

Committed to ethical practice, Verocell emphasizes teamwork and leadership, having trained interns and led outreach initiatives on substance abuse prevention. His work reflects a passion for fostering resilience and recovery in diverse populations.
