Philip Kesis Mining is a compassionate Medical Psychologist with a degree from Moi University and over five years of experience in mental health care. Specializing in trauma counseling, substance abuse therapy, and chronic illness support, he joins Palm Tree House Wellness Center with a focus on client-centered psychological assessments and treatment planning. His expertise includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychological preparation for medical procedures, and managing depression and stigma-related distress.
Previously, Philip conducted mental health outreach in schools and prisons, led detoxification programs at Zen Recovery, and provided critical support to HIV/AIDS patients and survivors of gender-based violence. At The Cherangany Hospital, he developed tailored coping strategies for fistula clients and educated expectant mothers on mental wellness. Fluent in English and Swahili, Philip integrates ethical Christian values into his practice, emphasizing confidentiality and holistic care. His proactive approach to community mental health awareness aligns with Palm Tree’s mission to foster resilience and recovery.
